Greener Country gets mentioned in the Bouler
Architecture Blog by Nadine Bouler
Earlier in the week,
I visited another student intern Chris, who was working with an
eco-friendly store, Greener
in Jericho NY. On the cutting edge of environmental issues, owner Robert Meinke mentored an intern as a way to give back to the community. This LEED
certification-pending store, which carries free trade accessories,
and organic goods, is also a source for larger alternative energy
systems for the home. Seen here is a solar powered hot water system
is mounted to the roof or ground, a sensible alternative to other water
heating systems that burn fossil fuels.
