![]() Green America's National Green Pages link to Greener Country Greener Country gets mentioned in the BoulerArchitecture Blog by Nadine Bouler
Earlier in the week,
I visited another student intern Chris, who was
working with an
eco-friendly store, Greener
Country,
in Jericho
NY. On the cutting edge of environmental issues, owner Robert Meinke
mentored an intern as a way to give back to the community. This
LEED
certification-pending store, which carries free trade
accessories, recycled products
and organic goods, is also a source
for larger alternative energy
systems for the home. Seen here is a
solar powered hot water system that
is mounted to the roof or
ground, a sensible alternative to other water heating
systems that
burn fossil fuels. Robert with Stan Halpern at the Green Living Expo on Long Island in April 2010. ![]() March 19th-21st at the Go Green Expo in NYC was fun for with hundreds of like-minded people.
