Sang Lee Farms is a second generation family farm originally growing produce for the Asian markets in New York and along the east coast.

Over the last fifteen years the farm has shifted its focus to retail, farmers' markets and community supported agriculture.  In doing so it has added many new  specialty vegetable and herb products, including heirloom tomatoes, multicolored carrots, asparagus, potatoes and garlic.

To compliment all this wonderful produce the farm has developed its own full line of prepared foods.  Dressings, dips, pestos, pickled products, jellies, and cooking sauces are now available, and are featured whenever Sang Lee Farms hosts special events and tastings.

2010 CSA Membership Form

What is a CSA?

CSA, short for Community Supported Agriculture, is an arrangement between members of a community and our farm.  It is a pre-paid share of fresh, organically grown vegetables that we will harvest for 26 weekly pickups.  CSA memberships are important because they help support our farm with revenues early in the season for seed purchases, fertilizer and other season startup costs.  It is a way for the community to eat great food, and help preserve open space with our working farm.  It allows you to personally know who grows your food.  By purchasing your vegetables locally, you help farmland remain in vegetable production and at the same time reduce your individual carbon foot print by having less vegetables trucked in from distant areas.  CSA Members benefit by having simply the best, and freshest organically grown and local vegetables available.

What will I get?

For the 26 week duration of the membership, we will harvest a 1/2 to 1 Bu. box of Organically Grown, and local fresh vegetables.  There will be approximately (8 - 10) items in the carton.  A week's CSA box may have individual heads of Boston, Butterhead Lettuce, bunched carrots, beets, baby Bok Choy, summer squash, asparagus, (when in season), and other seasonal vegetables from sugar snap peas to waxed beans or Heirloom tomatoes.  Because individual consumption is so varied, it may be adequate to meet the vegetable needs of (2 to 4) people for the week.  The partial share will contain less items and less quantity than the standard share and have an approximate retail value of half the standard CSA box.
